Former Student Deniz Mace-Jones, Executive Director, EMEA Fixed Income Sales, UBS Investment Bank

Since graduating with a degree in French and Economics with International Business, Deniz has worked in several different financial markets roles within The City, including Bloomberg, Deutsche Bank, Citi Bank and now with UBS Investment Bank. During this session, Deniz provides an overview of the many different STEM careers that are available and in particular on emerging Environmental, Social Responsibility and Governance (ESG) roles.

Careers in Medicine

Dr Chan will talk about her medical career journey leading to her chosen area of specialism working as a consultant in the Department of Ophthalmology at the National University Hospital, Singapore. She started the Inherited and Rare Retinal Disease service at the hospital, catering for a neglected population of patients with inherited retinal conditions. Dr Chan won the Women of the Future Southeast Asia award in March and is currently working in the UK.

A Career as a Pilot

Former student Abigail Croft graduated in 2017 with a master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering and is now a Pilot at Flybe.  She started her training whilst studying for her master’s and was commissioned as an Acting Pilot Officer at the University of London Air Squadron RAF.
