About your School Council
Your School Council is made up of peers who represent the whole school community; their task is to address issues which impact you and your school.
If you have an idea that you feel could enhance daily life at school, please use the suggestion form below to communicate with your School Council.
Obvious ideas might centre around issues such as homework, project planning, timetable management etc. However, it is often the ‘little things’ that make the difference – so if it’s ensuring that there’s enough soap in the cloakroom dispensers, that your classroom isn’t too warm or too cold or an idea for a new club, this is your opportunity to participate and engage in some of the decision making processes in your school community. If you’ve thought of something you would like to raise as an issue or idea, do engage with your school council; your opinion is valued.
So far this school year there have been a broad range of Matters for Consideration that have been raised across the year groups. By way of example, these include repair of locks on toilet cubicle doors, replacing the use of plastic cups with a more environmentally-friendly option (the Green Team are looking into this) and homework – when, how, quantity etc.
