What we do
At Surbiton, we prefer to think of ‘Specific Learning Difficulties’ as ‘Specific Learning Differences’, and see our role as supporting students to understand this, and work as individuals with confidence. Whilst some students will have a SpLD formally diagnosed, we also work with many other students, from both the prep schools and senior school, in need of some individual support, or whose English is an additional language (EAL).
Lessons take place individually or in small groups throughout the school day, and typically include guidance with specific subjects, study skills, organisation and examination preparation. Additionally, we run a dyslexia screener in years 7, 9 and 12 for all students, and various booster classes throughout the school year.
Where to find us
