We had a great trip to Painshill Park on Tuesday 1 April. We hunted for minibeasts under logs, in the bushes and trees and in the leaves. We found out the soft parts of a fallen tree were beetle poo and what a caterpillar needs to become a butterfly. I was taken around the woods blindfolded while my partner gave me instructions so I wouldn’t hurt myself. He was very good at telling me what was coming up on my left or right, although I did have to say slow down when I got a little scared.
