Bright and early on the first day of October half term, a group of about 20 History and French sixth form students met at St Pancras ready to board the Eurostar to Paris. I was unique in that I study both subjects. This often meant that I was employed as a translator by Miss Hansell at times when Mlle Puchois was otherwise engaged.
